Core Strengthening with Stability Ball

“Working your core” doesn’t always mean doing sit-ups and planks. It’s true that those exercises strengthen the abdominals which are PART of your core, but there are several other muscles that make up your core. I’m not going to bore you with all of those five-syllable names, but I am going to share with you some of my favorite core strengthening exercises.

For this Core Workout, all you will need is a stability ball.

Perform each exercise 8-12 reps. Repeat entire circuit 3-5 times.

  1. Bird-Dog

  2. Knee-Tuck Pike

  3. Stir-the-pot Plank

  4. Stability Ball Leg Raise

  5. Stability Ball Hip Bridge

  6. Dying Bug

As always, work within YOUR pain free range of motion and meet your body where it is.
